If its your first tattoo try not to get something to big done at once i was stupid enough to get a black tribal style one done took almost 5 hours but after the 3rd hour becomes painfull

st andrews

I got mine done at 19 and had thought about it for a few years, so I was set on it and the design I wanted.

I want to get two new ones, again been thinking of the quotes for a few years. I'll be getting them on the inside of my wrists so that will probably be more painful.

Don't rush into a design, make sure it's something you like and can live with. Then if you like it you can get more

Trying to round it up to the 10 but honestly havnt seen anything I want

As said before think long and hard

When you pick something leave it a month then look at it again to make sure you still want/ like it

I'd love to get 2 more . But just can't seem to being it together how I'd like . Don't rush in as others have said though. I did with my 1st but thankfully I still like it x

Go for something unique and original.

And I agree with a previous poster about time...after a couple hours it is sore so try onto go too big unless you can manage a few sittings.

I get tattoo envy . The ones i got in my youth i would like lasered and covered now

my last one was a rob richardson (google him ) in carlisle . 7 hour sitting last half hour was a bit tender . But worth it as its a one off piece

Don't go to this guy's artist then, a good artist doesn't tend to do more than a 4 hour sitting...

What a load of tosh!

It depends on the person and the artist. Just because he took longer and decided to do more than 4 hours does not mean be isn't a good artist!

Just make sure it is something you really want and like. I have a couple andplan more but I do know people who got tattoos and days later regretted it

Make sure the artist is not a scratcher and done in a studio not someone's home. Speak to the artist and get them to draw yout up a design of the ideas you have in mind. Can also request the sstencil to be put on and get a better idea of how it will look on your skin. oh and it's gonna hurt. Merry Christmas

E.K . Glasgow

Was half talked into half wanted a tattoo got a small one only couple inches in size best to have an idea what you want 50's style Betty Boop ? Guy drew a few of mine before I choose one I wanted . Only a little pain at the time but you really have to look after it once done moisturise and keep clean as it ois like having an open wound for a wee while .

I thought long and hard about it and decided no. I'm glad now I didn't give way to impulse.

Bear in mind, tattoos can become addictive regardless what age you get your first.
