If you find Ulster too mild, try jihad in Syria

In western Europe, there is no more dysfunctional political and civil landscape than pertains in the province of Ulster.

Religious strife and bigotry intertwine with serious criminality, hatred, intolerance and corruption. Despite a fragile peace, there remains, mostly unreported, an ever-thriving layer of gangsterism.

The extortion racklets, drugs sales and corruption are undiminished, yet the orgy of killing has come to an end. FFS! When a pint of Ulster Mild doesn't slake the thirst for homicidal mayhem any more, what's a guy to do?

Why, get re-educated online and head for the slaughtering opportunities offered by the jihadists in Syria and Iraq, of course.

We learn today that Ulster police now has under arrest a local convert to islam, and returning IS jihadist. As if that province didn't have enough of its troubles already.

Religion: it's a fine thing, so it is.

I think religion is only an excuse for such things - seems like some humans just love fighting - feel very sorry for the poor innocent bastards who get caught in the crossfire.

That's part of the problem across the water, in many situations it's young hoodlums that are causing the trouble, the manipulators and directors stay well back.

So when you take away what they see as the 'legitimate cause', you're still left with a bunch of eejits, who have to find an outlet for their aggression and criminality.
