a simple "no" would take 2 seconds

I am new to this. Am a genuine single guy and make a point of sending nice and well mannered messages but yet, the vast majority of people on here read them and do not respond at all.

Don't get me wrong I completely understand people not being interested but a very simple "no" or "not interested" reply would take away the rudeness of reading a message someone has spent time writing then totally blanking it.

In fact I would rather the message was just deleted without being read.

Guessing I be in the minority here but was annoying me enough to post.

Rant over!

I agree

Only takes 2 tics for a no thanks

Cld you imagine if it was the other way around?

Yes I know we get loads more messages but manners is manners

Unless it's a rude message I always reply

But that's just me

I used to think the same. It's rude not to reply. However once you've done it and countless times then been bombarded with abuse or questions as to why, you realise it's not worth the hassle. X

You'll enjoy the site more if you take no reply as "no thanks"
