It's disgusting happened in Paisley also poor child was under supervision with all agencies this child lay in a cot in a dirty run disgusting house for 18 months dead no one alerted each other !!! |

What gets me is the health visitors! In scotland they have stopped doing so many checks throughout the infants lives. I seen the health visitor when my son was a newborn (house visit) then again at the surgery for his immunisations. Now there's a huge gap between because we never seen her again until he was 2! That is 2 yrs where anything can be happening to a child.
So many kids can be saved if they start doing the monthly home visits again like i remember when i had my eldest. |

I dunno re Dundee but in parts of Glasgow they've moved Health Visitors out of GP surgeries where they had day to day contact with the GP, practice nurse etc and moved them to centres 'off patch' where contact is more limited. |

I agree the health visitors were a good link and generally not seen as threatening by new parents. We also had good experiences down south with SureStart but I think the funding with that may also have been cut |
