Last year I found out from a friend that baffies was am east coast saying for slippers had never heard of it before.
So are there anymore east coast words that are different to west coast ones?  |

Not sure if it they are particular to the east coast but words like the following are some of my favourites:
Pagger - fight
Haver - talk to much
Manky / Mawkit
Hoachin - busy
Am sure as an edinbugger living in weegie land I may use one or two words that get me strange looks!

I've got 2 words that when I moved back up to Scotland when I was much younger had me stumped.
Barry- as in that's great, that's barry
Shan- as in that's a shame, don't do that to him that's shan.
Anyone else ever heard of them or did I just imagine it.
