Beware people - I was told last night that if you have the Facebook messenger app (on iphone anyway - not sure if true of other platforms) you can access the Facebook profile of ANY contact in your phonebook. I was amazed to discover that this is true. And if your FB security settings are not watertight that means people on Fab you swap numbers with can have full access to real names, employment details, family, friends - anything unwittingly shared on FB is potentially being shared with anyone you have ever given your number to. Quite an astonishing bit of security lapse that most would never even know about. Tis a stalker'a charter. Get these Facebook security settings sorted! |

Just tried it on android and it's the same.
Have two new contacts I've never heard of. Am I right in thinking because I don't have my number on my Facebook profile then it can't sync me? X |
