Not many things scare me in life, however ebola is genuinely terrifying me. Sounds like such a horrible disease. And the more people talk about it and the more people say it's coming to the UK and that it's already here just intensifies my fear! Am I the only one scared of it? |

Ebola is horrible - but more people die from malaria and dysentery in Africa every day than the total amount who have died from ebola. Plus ebola is transmitted via bodily fluids/direct contact, it's not airborne. |

There a 50 - 90% chance of death from ebola. I knew it wasn't airborne but still terrifies me |

"I am more worried about resistance to antibiotics..."
Pretty much this. Read a report about the continued over prescription of antibiotics and the impact it is having on certain areas, i.e. more drug resistant viruses where antibiotics are over prescribed etc.
From what I've read Ebola is much harder to spread than diseases such as measles etc. It's all about containment apparently. |

The world had been due a virus which kills people the way Ebola is currently, the last one was in 1918, not at present worried about it here but its quite horrid, people are dying from it, almost 4000 people to date, not something i find particularly funny - it could become airborne according to scientists but unlikely.
If it was in europe in such numbers im sure some people would be more worried, because people die in Africa every day in number i find horrid.
Just my thoughts |

Im not saying enforced, just a change in the thinking that everyone's life must be about having sprogs. That having kids isn't the default. |

It scares me,how scared people get,
over scary things, that are highly unlikely to happen.
Eventually the Chinese line, will just be called, the line.
My mate told me,farmers overuse of antibiotics,to ensure healthy livestock.
Rather than doctors over prescribing,is the most likely cause of antibiotic resistance.

Well if your mate told you that then it must be true. As opposed to all the other evidence that points to the fact that over-prescribing by doctors is the problem... |

If only. In too many poor countries, children are looked upon as the future carers and financial supporters for their parents. |
