I must becoming a prude it found rubbish and the swearing so much I feel spoilt it

Nope...I thought it was grim. The song and dance sequence at the end was embarrassing. Perhaps you had to be there.

yeah I was cringing at the song at the end too .

but the swearing was not really needed dont think xx

Couldn't agree more. Compare it to the very first show they done on stage before any series and the swearing has increased 100x. Imagine paying the money for the tickets only to find out its on BBC 4wks later

After all the hype about the live show, I was pretty disappointed, and yes I thought some of the language was unnecessary.

As someone for whom Mrs.Brown is a 'must watch', and saw the film, there's a bit of a parallel. In both cases, the tv is great, but the show/film, disappointing.

I caught the last half of it and it was terrible. There was nothing funny about it and the bad language wasn't needed. It was as if they were trying to fill in the time so they would add a few swears.

This has given me an idea for a thread

Expectation over hype, I rewatched scotch n wry which had no sweary words anywhere. Good comedy can be clean with no need for crudity.
