I class within about 30 miles as local...

if 15 - 20 miles isn't achievable, consider whether travel is the right option for you? Or specify public transport routes?

Local is a relative term. The more densely populated your area the closer you'll probably think local is.

For example, suspect people in Aberdeenshire are more likely to think of Aberdeen as local than the other way around.
