Fabulous body description
Jump to: Newest in thread
Recently got messaged by a guy who was clearly annoyed that I had "FABULOUS " on my profile as my body description. He wanted to know why I had that, as " clearly it was a contradiction in terms" his words not mine. I usually have large but changed it because I was feeling FABULOUS.
I replied that fabulous was a state of mind. He was not a happy bunny lol.
His profile stated athletic, was going to ask him to show me his commonwealth games medals in track and field , but he wasn't worth it in my humble opinion.
What do others think of the body status ?
I only _iew it as a vague guideline when _iewing profiles, it's more about the person than the persona for me.
Feeling fabulous and very happy

If you feel fabulous about your body then good on you don't let anyone put you down. People who try to bring others down are obviously not happy with their own self description |

The dictionarys definition of fabulous is ~extraordinary, especially extraordinarily large.
But im like you and will say it's a state of mind if someone feels fabulous then to me that means they feel good and I've heard hundreds of different sized people say they are fabulous |

Fabulous is totally a state of mind and too many people have hang ups on body shape so good for you that you feel good enough about yourself that you put fabulous. |

I think fabulous is probably the most confusing option available so I'm not a fan of it but ultimately we tend to make a decision based on people's pictures rather than descriptions so it's only really an issue if there's no pics. |

given that fabulous is at the other end of the scale from skinny, slim, and closer to average, large BBW I would have and do assume that Fabulous is (sorry for blunt honesty) large, but your happy with it, and just dont want to use BBW or Large to describe yourself. still dont think its a reason for someone to get all pissy with you though |

Its your body and if you feel fabulous then fabulous it is.
Thing is there are a lot of narrow minded idiots on here who's whole thing is just to get a rise out of people.
Ignore, block & stay Fabulous, problem solved

I have fabulous because I'm a big girl, I couldn't care less who doesn't like, if not your thing then feel free to move on. I'm me & wouldn't change for anyone |

I have fabulous on mine because I'm not athletic and I'm not large. I could use curvy but then people's perceptions differ...what I see as curvy others would maybe see as fat?
Fabulous is a good describing word as it could mean various things to different people |

Skinny minnys may not be anorexic. I'm average (have been fat in the past - not fabulous, not BBW, but fat - my own description) but hate that people get put down by body size. If its not your cup of tea, then pass by...
If you can't say anything nice, then consider if you ought to say anything at all. |

I believe I received a message from the same lovely character and it's pissed me off no end.
My body is fabulous if I say it is! Yes, I'm overweight.. and what? Does this automatically make me an ogre that should go and hide in the swamp?? Livid. |

"if you state fabulous, then expect to be asked what size if not clear in any pics...
no one should be disingenuous"
I wasn't asked my size I was being told I should not have put fabulous as in his opinion it was a contradiction. It is quite clear from my photos what size I am. |

He must have had no mates to play with that day, he was easily dealt with and blocked, it takes much more of a man than him to put this FABULOUS woman down |

Ignore him and listen to the nice people on here that don't have an 8pm bedtime on a school night |

Nowt wrong with being fabulous! I love a girl thats fabulous. Not what could be described as chubby or roly poly bu just built on a bigger scale and carries it well with confidence. Usually quite tall too Id say, and with biggish boobs and thighs that can crush lesser mortals.
I always say I like a woman that can carry alk her own shopping! Shows strength and bloodymindedness lol |

Ok I have just read all the posts on here and was confused to start with but now even more so. Ok am I rite in saying fabulous is meant to describe and large/BBQ lady. So if anybody tool offence I'm not being sizest just confuddled. If that is the case then why is it that when you look at some profiles the female has fabulous and she is bout size 8-12 to me that's athletic. Then you have the otheres that are curvy saying athletic and ones saying curvy saying average. And large saying curvy when they clearly are large/ bbw I hope I have not annoyed any ladies on here. I'm just not the brightest spark. But to me it is confusing. |

1, he's just a prick that's probably too much in love with himself.
2, I always thought the body types on here were supposed to explain what body type you are but just as you said I also thought the fabulous one was just a frame of mind.
Just block him & report him then move on if you feel fab then that's what to have. |

If its the same person they're already gone. They were gone before I read the 5 or so messages they sent me.
I put fabulous because I'm not comfortable having curvy and I'd like to think I'm not as large anymore. I feel fabulous in my skin as it changes and I make it clear what size I am so I don't waste people's time.
Body 'type' is always going to be subjective. I've found my definition and I'm happy. |

Body size/image is subjective. Im an 'average' 14, I class myself as curvy, but I go to the gym regularily, and I have muscle tone that could shame a lot of men. But I would not be comfortable classing myself as athletic. I was described recently as being a 'strapping lass'...and you know, i think its quite apt.
If its a description you feel comfortable with then go for it. |

Well i mr thinks mrs fine has a fabulous body, she is slim/petite/athletic, choose for yourselves lol, but if i see it on a profile, for some unknown reason i would presume it too be a larger lady. Perhaps its an admin question to be answered as i take it they must have an understanding of the options they attatch. |

In my experience as a bbw, on many different sites, fabulous is a description of a larger bbw basically because in the dictionary one of the definitions is "Extraordinary, especially extraordinarily large" |

Someone said it a while back but in the context of Fab body type choices 'fabulous' is at the opposite end of the scale from 'slim' and 'athletic' so I would assume that you were of a larger body type. 'Fabulous' isn't a state of mind in that context, any more than 'large' is a state of mind either.
No one should ever be criticised for their body shape though, regardless of which choice they've made in their description. I'm sure given a free choice we'd all put something more specific but unfortunately Fab makes you pigeonhole yourself.
As long as people are happy within themselves, it's no one elses business how they describe themselves.
Personally, mine (S) would probably be 'could do with losing a bit of beef here and there round the middle but overall, not too bad'.

Fab doesn't give any option after large-I'm much more than that hence I chose fabulous! I'm guessing they just don't think it's PC to have a fatty option. |

I often read threads about bodysize, fabulous, curvy, athletic, slim etc....think a persons frame of mind and confidence is key. I've met many a skinny Minny with no confidence and some larger people who beam with confidence and always come across more sexy ....loving yourself and exude confidence! Sounds cliche but it is true .... |

Fabulous = plus size girls , models eg size 16 and everything is proportionate to the other parts of the body ,,,,and app 6ft or taller slightly smaller x
Fabulous = size 8_10 for eg but 5ft or shorter and again everything proportionate to other parts ,,

I'm kinda assuming because of where fabulous is on the fab size thingy it's meant generally for the more curvy folk. But if anyone feels fabulous then use it! It's your profile and your choice. Stuff them that tell you otherwise! I class myself as average (although average fem is a 16 in the UK and I'm a 12). I'm not curvy, not skinny, go to the gym a lot but I'm no athlete, not large and I don't feel fabulous. Hmm. |

When I read the word "fabulous" in the body type section of a profile, I always assume it means obese. That's not what I find attractive so I move on.
I have always considered that option to be one of the site's biggest errors, simply because it is not precise and is open to misuse/abuse. Quite frankly, I don't really care how a person feels about themselves, I want to know plain facts. Some women would like to know how tall their prospective partner might be or how well endowed he is. It's easy to be precise with these things because you can assign a numerical value to them. The Fab site has sensibly provided a handful of body types which, "Fabulous" aside, read as a scale of increasing bulk. The majority of users here would naturally assume that seeing as it is an ascending scale, "fabulous" tops the tree of fatness.
Certainly most profiles I've seen with a so-called "fabulous" body type do show an obese body. |
