I must have just watched a different episode to everyone else as I thought it was a load of drivel. But them I think Moffat is far too up his own arse trying to be clever with all this time paradox nonsense.
I mean, he's over 1000 years old and we're supposed to believe that he's been believing something he heard once when he was kid for all that time, and just happens to start thinking about it at precisely the right moment for everything to work out?
I think Capaldi would have a made a great Doctor in Classic Who, just a shame he got lumbered with the current nonsense.

what I found most interesting about that episode was that they were able to land on Gallifrey in the first place. that shouldn't yet be possible.
however I found the episode interesting and engaging. a look into the idea and concept of fear itself.
