So I have a mates wedding on Saturday! What should I wear? Shirt and tie with trousers? Or full suit? Or shirt and chinos?

If it's an all say invitation

Full suit n tie

Evening invite you can be a bit more casual but I'd stay away from chinos

Lol

Shirt and tie with trousers. You can't go wrong at all there. I'd agree on avoiding jeans.

Got to with suited & booted, you can always ditch the jacket and tie later in the evening once the formal parts are over.

I've photographed a few weddings and there has been a few men in jeans, if there tailored properly it looks good with there shirt/shoes/tie combo. He isaattending as a guest, I'd understand if he was the best man or part of the wedding part to require a suit.

Evening guests can get away with being more casual tho

near Glasgow

If a full guest attending the ceremony, then formal. Attending just the evening 'do', then smart but casual.
