Watching netflix and sitting watching smokey and the bandit 2 and got me thinking,whats your favourite road movies?
can be serious or funny or anything in between.

Could probably list scores of great road movies, but i'll stick to a short list

Cannonball run
Badlands
Duel
Paper moon
Motorcycle diaries
The hitcher
Planes, trains and automobiles
Weekend
Y tu mama tambien

For serious drama - "Leaving Normal" - it's as if somebody did "Thelma & Louise" properly - from a women's point of view and with a good ending.!
Or for serious enjoyment, it has to be "Kamikaze Girls".. oh, I so identify with both of the girls!!!

Motorcycle Diaries is a good shout and good to see someone else who has seen Y Tu Mama Tambien, I love that film! Also throw in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas and On the Road |
