dont you just hate it when you send an email and a few days later it has still not been read or deleted and they have been signed on during that time. i know some folk are popular and get loads or they forgot how to work the open button . would you let that pools win envelope lay on the floor behind the door for days - nope.
so should there be a auto delete button on the mail system so that after 7 days they go to the trash |

Makes no difference, we sent a msg to a couple and after 2 weeks when they had been logging on daily it still had not been read, maybe they just not interested, we deleted it from our sent mail and care not how long it sits in their inbox, plodding on sending to others :D it's all good fun |

more north lincs than mids! |
what happens if they have signed in on their phone and can't access mail? Or they are on holiday for more than 7 days?
I think it's just another case of live and let live. Annoying it may be but it's just something to put up with |

"would you let that pools win envelope lay on the floor behind the door for days - nope."
(missing word in last version)
Maybe they don't see your unsolicited mail to them as a "Pools Win"!
But see it more like one of those scratch cards that gets stuffed through your letterbox that says that you are a winner but only if you spend a fortune on a phone call to them and after spending ages listening to the waffle on the phone you end up with the bloody bottom prize of a keyring!
As always, just my tuppence worth. |

we find it a bit rude and awful when pms are just deleted and not replied to, but if they arent opened then its put down to the persons inbox being crammed full. I dont really buy it when people say they are too busy to reply to emails cause if they have time to open, read and look at your profile then they have time to reply, i know this for a fact as we always reply and we have two young kids taking up our time.
But its not fair to gripe if an email hasnt been opened
(if anyone ever sends us an email and we are online but its not been opened, im sorry to say its Prettys fault as she always forgets to log off when on via mobile ) xx |

"Friend had 1300 messages in a week, she simply could not open all o them nor reply to all, hope that helps get it in perspective.
T"
i know females on here get loads of mail and 1300 is a bit much and your fingers would be soar after hitting delete that many times - so a auto delete would be great for them .
and if you cant open emails from your phone then get a new phone - modern tech is brill and cheap |

I can see someone isn't too keen on the answers they have received to the post that started as -
"dont you just hate it when you send an email and a few days later it has still not been read or deleted and they have been signed on during that time. i know some folk are popular and get loads or they forgot how to work the open button..."
So, you go off on holiday and forget to take the "auto delete" off and when you return after 2 weeks of sun, sea and (if you are lucky) sex all the mail has been deleted including the one telling you the details of that weekends social!
Do you think you would just say to yourself, aw well at least the single males won't be waiting by their PCs to see if the unsolicited mail they sent has been opened or not! I think not!
Again, just my tuppence worth. |

i agree with whats said by BB, you did start the thread with the unopened mail whilst the persons were online...
the 'auto delete' option is something i think should be in place for profiles, i reckon profiles should all be photo verified, too many have been on over a year with private pics and no verification, or the best one is an Athletic bisexual female verified by a male user (always a meet on the exact day 'she' joined)....and they are both always online around the exact same time...
that should be under an Auto Delete |

Damn, we might need to go faster answering mails if that were to happen as I am a nosey mare and wouldn't want any mails to disappear before we could read them |

It is surely up to that person to respond how they want to. A reply is good manners, but if i'm not replied to i make 2 assumption:
1. They're not interested in me (fair enough, i'm not everyone's cup of tea)
2. They're a bit rude so they probably wouldn't do it for me anyway.
I try to always reply, but then I don't have the same problem with incoming mail as others
Have fun |

Ok, so main gist of this is, nowt to do with shuffling unread mail away after "say 7 days" its about simply mail not read, and that bothers some of you, its "rude"?
Its swinging and theres thousands of us and it happens, simples

We agree that it is just good manners to reply even if its a 'no'.
But sometimes the sheer volume of mail is,for us anyway, mad .
I think if i take gills pics off our profile and put some of me on.
That will sort out or bulging mailbox . |
