It's time for me to temporarily hang up the male tart uniform and badge for a wee while folks. After an evening of reflection, with the kind assistance of Mr Arthur Guinness and Mr Talisker Single Malt and 5 family members who are even cheekier and more flirtatious than I, I've come to the rather inebriated but I would argue wise conclusion that a wee spell off Fab is required. Not deleting the account (unfortunately no doubt some night say) merely taking an extended sabbatical.
I've got caught up in a few things of late that kinda go against my principles (yes I do have some) and I can't be fucked with the way they make me feel and want to act. There's waaaaayyyy too much fucking drama go's on on this site and a lotta the time it is over absolutely fuck all, it's not life or death, no-ones starving to death, watching a child die or losing a loved one. It's supposed to be fun...well at least I rather misguidedly thought so. Some people really need to get a fucking sense of perspective
To those who have tried to drag me into their dramas I'll say this.....please don't on the whole I'm actually quite a nice guy but you f@&k me off I'm a nasty little b&@$ard with an evil streak A MILE WIDE. I detest that side of me and the people who bring it to the surface.
In the past few weeks I have probably offended some people and got right on their tits, for this I do sincerely apologise. I'd you could form an orderly queue with your baseball bats and knuckle dusters that would be gratefully appreciated. I will also apologise for the self-indulgent, "up his own arse" nature of this thread.....too much porter and waaaaaaay too much whisky!
Have fun people, it's what the site should be about, but of late it's been more about petty squabbles, one upmanship and pissing on other peoples chips! Shame really!!
On that reflective note I'm off to the bar because it's almost last orders so a double round is what the Dr has prescribed. Enjoy, be horny and fuck one another to a standstill.

When you start to feel like this timeout is required.
Time on here should be fun but time and time again it's marred by petty little things.
People keep saying they are here for fun yet these are the same people who let the site consume them with petty fall outs,forum arguments,stupid threats against people.
When this happens it's definitely time to leave or take timeout.

don't know you but you seem to be a guy having fun on here & people will always have different standpoints, so why you would allow others to stop you beggars belief....
in the last few days there have been threads about "I'm going', yeah if the time is right... do it.
if it is because you are allowing others to determine that, that's plain silly and overly dramatic.

I did the same thing a wee while ago took a sabbatical, hid my profile the whole bit.
Came back refreshed and with a better outlook on whats here and what I use it for
If you still decide to go ahead when the Guinness has worn off then good luck one of my quarter sons, I know we'll see you back relatively soon

Pretty much this. I don't understand at all how people can let other people's posts on a forum affect them. Also, if that was the case then why not just stick to meeting people and avoid the forums? As someone posted yesterday, apparently only 3% of people on the site have ever used the forums so there's a ton of people out there (97% by my calculations  that you could be missing out on) |

Waaaaaaay too much alcohol, aggressive seagulls trying to steal my kebab (bastard......I won that square go), bullshit drama that in the grand scheme of things is pretty inconsequential and mobile internet access.....that's a recipe for disaster.
I stand by 99% of what I said and it's not what's been posted in forums that's getting to me the most, I have slightly more maturity and intelligence than that. This is supposed to be a medium where you can come and have some fun, live out fantasies, have a laugh and just a wee bit of escapism (well that's my _iew). Lately it hasn't felt like that for me.
Now if you'll excuse me I have 2 RSPB inspectors at the door, something about half a Donner kebab being rammed up a seagulls arse! |

I keep missing out on all this behind the scenes drama (thankfully). Seen someone else post the same thing yesterday with quite a few folk agreeing with them. Is the problem possibly a group of people getting too closely involved?
More of a rhetorical question really as I'm not looking for anyone to spill the beans on here about their personal lives. |
