I'd agree with JC(I always do she'll batter me otherwise) that you have a slightly less outgoing persona in real life to your online one. Get to know you it's a different story though ha ha ha ha ha |

I am naturally cheeky, but extremely shy until I relax and get to know you. In social situations I try to put on a front as otherwise it takes ages for me to get to know people. If you are the same I kind of understand why people don't believe you.

On an online forum you are who you want to be, nobody sees or judges you.
Face to face people are different, the veneer gets washed away and suddenly your bare.
Me I'm a cheeky sod, I think because I've worked for years on Glasgows doors I developed a thick skin. I could say things to people and get away with it because of the job.
If I walked up to a woman on here for the first time and it was snowing and she wasn't wearing a jacket I would discreetly watch my mouth. On a club door it's " Christ those nipples are so hard I can hang my jacket" and I'd get away with it.
Honestly I've quietened down since I retired. |

We often talk about 'keyboard warriors', those who come away with all the rubbish because they're anonymous and hiding behind their screens.
But the simple fact is that for all of us, our online personnas can be different to our real life ones. Real life is real, we can't hide, online we can be who we want to be.    |

In my youth I suffered from acute shyness and in fact missed out on some wonderful opportunities because of it which makes me look back with sadness. Now, as I get ever older I am more confident and although it can take me a wee while to gain confidence in new acquaintances I no longer hold back. |
