Some fabbers have already made the usual excuses (dog ate it etc.)
100 words or less on the following subject please.
"Punishment works but only for some. Explain why."

There is a very fine line between punishment and power.Do you punish because it feels good for both parties or do you punish because you need that control?

Punishment works well for subs because they choose to live that lifestyle.
For everyone else punishment just makes them bitter, angry and resentful therefor causing them to want to seek renvenge in some way for their 'unjust punishment'

Sheer defiance & state of mind of the person being punished dictates whether it is successful or not, also depends on what you would class as successful.
In a Dom/Sub situation the sub has decided to be sub and the other is permitted to be Dom. I think the sub is actually in control, so in that situation the outcome is successful for all.
If a parent sends a child to their room or grounds them the success depends fully on the attitude of the child being punished.
However in unwilling situations eg punishment for a crime or excessively violent or forced punishment (abuse) it is against the persons will and therefore the success will depend on who's point of view you look at it from, those being punished or those doing the punishment (look at the inquisition, successful in that thousands of women(witches ) were killed & punished not so good if you were a female who had a mind if her own!
Some people who have survived cruel or unnecessary punishment have fared better than others due to their state of mind eg you can do this but I will not submit/scream (or if I do I will count to 5 etc before I do), again it's all to do with control.
Huge subject & can cover a huge range of things, kink, law, abuse, torture, love eg parenting.

Punishment is bad and good. To those who seek pain it's good to yhe rest it's bad and so doesn't really work either way

Some people are too nice in general to be punished. Or have an arse of steel and can't be spanked.
I prefer hot chocolate. Positive enforcement is the way to go. Rewarding good behaviour.

Well sir one night in early August I went to a building was built in the 1900s where this mistress enticed me over to the dungeon room where I got my ass spanked so from now on I shall be more resistful & hide & also be a very good girl will always hand my homework in on time I don't want a stingy bum again ever  |
