Possibly been done before, but the film quotes thread reminded me of this.

Bit of a film that never fails to have you,,,greetin !!

John Candy and Steve Martin find themselves together, both struggling to get back home for Thanks giving.

When, after driving each other nuts, and Steve Martin ranting at John Candy about how irritating and annoying he findsJohn Candy, they finally both just have a short train ride home to be home for Thanks giving.

Steve Martin reflects on all John Candy said, realising poor John Candy actually has no family or wife to rush home to and instantly goes back for him, to invite him to meet his family and have Thanks giving dinner with them.

Dunno what has me welling up, maybe John Candy's circs, maybe the kindness of Steve Martin, bit o both i guess.

Schindlers list, one of only 3 times when the film is in colour. You see a little girl in a bright red coat being marched out of the ghetto towards a train to transport the Jews to a concentration camp. Later on in the film it pans to a massive pile of corpses and there amongst all the other bodies in black and white is this tiny bright red coat. I'm fucking welling up just now just thinking about it!!

Does the same to me but think that's partly because my Great grandfather was killed in WWI so it resonates even more.

Ps I'm not a fan of Martin or Candy so don't watch their films.

Cant remember title of film, James Stewart in it, all about walking this bull called vindicator across part of america to start a cattle farm, but it separates from them and they find it dead in a snow drift.

That wee few seconds of saddest part of film i can see in my minds eye, even now, aint that weird?

The Jungle Book for me. Used to watch it and sing along with my then stepdaughter when she was little. She passed away suddenly in her early teens. I'll never watch it again and any time I catch a bit of the songs on tv I just lose it.

the original transformers movie (animated 1986) when the autobots with chip and spike are around Optimus after his fight with Megatrn and he passes the matrix of leadership before he dies. reminds me of being 7 all over again

Sarah's Key with Kristin Scott Thomas, where the little girl makes it back to the family apartment too late to save her little brother. If anyone hasn't seen this film I'd highly recommend it!
