Does anyone remember when Glasgow was European City of Culture?
Late eighties, early nineties?
Pubs open European hours etc
No big :chucking out rush as no big shutdown. .
Seem to remember crime figures and incidents of fighting plummeting.

I'm a recent retired Door Steward and chucking out time is actually the biggest pain in the arse part of the job
Argumentative punters daring you to take their drink off them etc. There are licensing times for a reason and when that time is up and you are asked to leave then shut the fuck up and leave
The premises are fined heavily and face closure because of fannies who want that last drink for the road.
We have more fights at closing time than any other time if the evening
