I no there has been similar post on this but thought I'd see again.
I suffer from headaches and migraines and I'm suffering from a beast of a migraine right now. Does anyone no any good treatments for them?
I know of one and that's actually a relaxing massage but I doubt I'm going to get one of them

I had one the other night. They make me sick they are so severe.
I went in the shower and turned it on cool and just sat under it for a while. It seemed to do the trick. I will try that again. |

keep a food/drink diary. See if there is a common trigger that sets them off.
If not, could be down to the heat and humidity at the moment.
I used to suffer from them really badly and have to take domperadol (prescription only) for them, now down to about 3 a year, but they deck me for 3-4 days.
Worth checking with your GP |

Medication, darkened room and bed for me when they hit. Only started to have them when I hit 40 and thankfully they are few and far between now. Cold flannels on my eyes used to soothe. Its no fun...my sympathies. |

It's not my diet as I've done that check numerous times before but thanks for that.
Darkened room sometimes work for me but that's sort of a hard thing to come by at this moment haha
I'll happily get hosed down if your willing to pat me dry after words haha |

My daughter get stress Related visual migraines which is quite scary for her as they come on so suddenly.
My mother inlaw used to get severe migraines every Friday night and soon worked out it was dark chocolate she was allergic to,my father inlaw bought her a box of black magic ever Friday night as soon as she stopped eating them her migraines stopped.
As someone's already said keep a diary and avoid stress as that could be the cause too. |

Take 2 x 200mg ibuprofen + loads of water.
10 minutes later, 2 x 200mg paracetamol and water.
Wait 30 mins and take 2 x 200mg ibuprofen again.
No more for rest of the night, jntil morning. Water is a must...loads of it.

I get them and they are awful. It's worse when you can't relax because of the pain then your whole body tenses making it worse. Best thing I found was to have as hot a bath as you can stand, lie back do that the water laps at your neck and the bottom of your skull and it eases off. I did have to do that four times in one night though before it eases enough to let me sleep. |

I got really bad cluster migraines.
Fine for months then two or three weeks of chronic ones every night.
Eventually doc prescribed Atenadol.
They prevent them occurring rather than treat them once they've started
Haven't had any since I started the tabs! |

I used to get then really bad and way too often, doc has me on beta blockers now to prevent them as I didn't want to be relying on pain meds all the time.
Ask you doc about them, they've worked so well for me and I rarely get any migraines these days.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
