For me you dont members of my family find it strange when I say I will die alone I just know im for the most part fine to be with most of the time but require me time also hard to put into words but marrige is a never ever for me  |

I think some are lucky enough to find "The One" whom they will spend the rest of their life with, others will find perhaps 2 or 3 "The Ones" who are right for them at that particular point in their lives and there are some who will never find or indeed want to find "The One". |

I have good friends, and a boyfriend I care for, we have fun, and its great... Love - no thanks. I don't think I am capable of it towards another adult (my son is absolutely adored by me, and in no doubt how much he is loved) |

So many different ways to answer this but gonna try lol
When that person accepts you for all you are , doesn't try to change you . When you are able to finish one anothers sentences . When you have that feeling of excitement when you know youre going to see them . But more importantly when you cannot ever imagine life without them . They make your heart skip a beat when they smile at you , when they kiss you or slip their hand into yours . When you miss them before the door is closed when they leave . When you just know deep down in your heart that they are your true soulmate and want to spend every minute with them . When they become what can only be described as your drug . When they make you laugh even when you don't want to laugh and when they put their arms around you suddenly everything is better . To me that's what happens when you've found the "one" |

I thought I found one, then realised it was for the wrong reason so that's gone the way of the dodo.
I'm trucking along nicely atm and someone has a big smile on my face every few weeks. I haven't settled for long in 1 location since 1996! though my nomadic days seem to be drawing to a close  |

This is quite applicable to a few of my close friends and family and also myself.... there has been twice in my life that I have thought there was 'the one' ....once when I was very young and then the second time before I realised it would have been a life of misery ..... now I find that im quite settled and take each day as it comes.....I dont look to the future with wedding bells.... I dont think I would get married....I certainly know that there would never be any more children for me .... the future may change with regards to 'the one' ....but everyone certainly has their own _iews and opinions as this thread has shown xx |
