Why does the distance display not give the correct distance? I was talking to someone from Edin and it said we were 10/15 miles apart BUT she is down in London working??? Don't figure |

"It said that we were both on mobiles and 10/15 miles apart not 600+ miles lol"
But I'll say it again-if she hasn't changed her post code it won't know she's that far away.
I could be in America but if i don't go into the 'edit personal details' section to change from G(insert number) then it will still show me as within 5 miles of other Glasgow people. |

Don't you need to be using the "see whos near" function on the mobile site ie turn it on. If you are on a pc then yes, you need to change your postcode info |

That's a good question, he never said if he was using that or not-if not then i still think the post code is related to the distance on the mobile version. |

The postcode gives you the average distance between your houses. Mobile distance is based on the last time you updated your location on fab. My phone asks me every now and again but I don't always say yes, so it would still say I was at home/work. |

I've tried the mobile version once or twice, never been asked for an update, but i don't like it-so even though i don't have a computer i still prefer the desktop version. |
