Found out by chance that Hilton Hotels do "day rates" - i.e. you can book a room from 9 to 6 at a reduced rate online. Hmmm...opens up some new possibilities! Saves the usual "no I don't need breakfast" line at Travelodges LOL |

That could be the Ibis, although I think there's another hotel in close proximity to the police HQ.
There's an Ibis Express at Springfield Quay, which I think is cheaper than the Pitt Street one.
Didn't know Ibis did day rates, but you can get in from 12 noon. |
