MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire) |
Alter bridge, tremonti, iron maiden, metallica, linkin park, also love seether (not sure they count as metal tho lol)
Also love female fronted bands like halestorm, elysium, lacuna coil, pretty reckless, as well as local bands.
I love gigs, and am a bit of a geek when it comes to music, but like a really wide range of stuff. |

Butcher Babies and Halestorm and Arch Enemy (even though Angela had left) are definitely the best female fronted heavy bands out there at the moment. Amaranthe are pretty good too.
Love Eluveitie, Amon Amarth, Ensiferum, Hammerfall, Alter Bridge and the big usual bands (Metallica slipknot etc).
Basically I don't tend to go a day without listening to an angry bearded man screaming at me ^^ |

A lot of different bands mentioned there.
ROCK has so many different variations that even Metal can be broken down, ie Thrash, Death, Heavy etc.
I must admit I have been lucky in that I have grown up around the scene and met many of the GIANTS of this magica world and the dwarves ( sorry Ronnie James)
To name just one as my favourite would be completely impossible, although I did cringe at the thought of Hetfield &Co at Glastonbury. Shouldn't have bothered they blew the place away.
Currently listening to Opeth, Dream Theater as well as some cometely obscure bands still to make it big. My CD player actually has the album Sunburn from a band called Defheaven on there, check out the track Vertigo, whoever had the idea to put a Death Metal vocalist in here was sheer genius
So many others to choose from so here is a short list I those I an currently listening to
Mastodon
Baroness
Tool
Opeth
Dream Theater
Arch Enemy
Not forgetting the mighty Metallica |

We saw Kobra and the Lotus supporting Buckcherry at the Garage a year ago and they pretty hot!
Love all the golden oldies, Iron Maiden, AC/DC etc. but liking a lot of the newer ones Slipknot, Trivium, Bullet for my Valentine. Not a fan of the Butcher Babies except for their front ladies, holy shit they're hot!! |
