I've seen a few. What is the reason for them?

They'll be on display til end of august and then auctioned for charity.

ARCHIE (kids hospital) and whale and dolphin conservation.

Its the wild dolphin project - google it if you want to know more, and the location of all 50

they are to be auctioned to raise money for a wildlife charity, in the meantime they are raising awareness of the risks dolphins face and maybe attracting tourists who will spend money.

Well hopefully they raise a few quid. Seen one with a Spider-man costume on last week.
