Nope, not a thirty something until you're 31! But I did cry when I turned 22 because I didn't want to get old so I might also have age issues
Happy birthday Julie! Xxx |

I'm with the boys on this. Happy Birthday to Julie - yer a 30 something, in yer 31st year, no longer in yer 20s & never will be again. Trust the voice of experience (from a 50 something) you're getting older & allegedly wiser. Now just cruise through yer 30s cos life doesn't begin till yer 40. Then it's the slippery slope at high speed on a roller coaster with G Forces that will slap yer jowls off the person behind ya through yer 50s, en route to your retiring 60s. If yer lucky you'll make it through yer 70s without pissin the bed, then you've got yer (bad hair) 80s to try & get through before you get to yer 90s & reminisce about yer youth in the 90s.
If you're REALLY lucky you'll make to yer centenary & get yer telegram (probably by then a holographic App or email) from King William.
Now blow out yer candles & get over it girl, before the room catches fire & we all go up in smoke.
Happy Burfday you NOT A 20SOMETHING.

"So help me settle a debate ... Julie's turned 30 today and she refuses to accept that she's now a "Thirty-something".
Apparently the zero doesn't count as a something LOL
Back me up here folks "
Funny reading this, I had the very same debate with her the other day. She turns 30 later this month whereas I'm 36 (almost 40 she says). She too wants to discount the zero. My arguement is you are no longer in your twenties, so thirties it has to be! |
