Just wondering if there is any interest in a social meet in July, either the weekend of 12th/13th or 19th/20th.
Our kids are away so hoping to make the most of it  |

Great to see we have takers already!
Since we are child free both weekends we're going to make the most of it and head out for drinks on the 12th and 19th
Any ideas on places to meet?x

Somewhere thats not a million miles from some car parking would be my preference as I'll be driving anyway, and don't like walking alone at night in town too far. |

Where do you normally park in town? Could pick somewhere close to there. I never get out in town so I'm useless at choosing bars/pubs.
As long as it's not somewhere full of kids, or pretentious snobs I'm happy! |

Lol, I'm never out in town either, as usually driving - and I don't often drink.
The times I've been out its usually Dusk on Langstane Place... but like you, don't really go to town much, so anywhere goes really - and if people can suggest nearby safe parking, I'd be grateful! |

Hubby usually drives to nights out too so I'll ask him where is handy for you and I'm sure on the night one of us could politely escort you to the car (I may need to take my heels off firSt though lol!)
I start a new job on Monday so a night out to blow off the cobwebs (and where I don't have to watch what I say in front of vanilla friends) will be much needed!!  |

Bums just realised the dates and i (mr dlt) amtaking and collecting kids to and from newcastle airport for their holiday so not gonna make either of those dates |

I'm not organising it, was merely suggesting a meeting place... and as i already said, I'm not often in town, don't often drink and will be driving - I was just thinking of somewhere central to meet... open to suggestions. |

why not just meet in a nice quiet pub like the ( Abergeldie ) halve way down Holburn street has off street parking for non drinkers driving and is easy to get too by bus and reasonably priced . only a suggestion so don't bite my head off |

Sorry guys, started a new job last week so haven't had a chance to check on here!
And I don't do Pie in the sky (as our verifications prove) much prefer pie in my mouth
So on the 12th myself and Mr Entirely will be at Old School House (previously Hogs Head) on Belmont Street at 9pm.
I will update on the night with our location within the pub.

Im working on the 13th so would need to leave at 11 for my bus home, but im not the 20th so can crash at the mr's on the 19th if theres a time and place planned x |

So far there hasn't been a great response, we've had 5/6 people message to say they are coming, and the few on here. That's not going to stop is though (best not, Buzz just bought more new shoes for it lol)!
Unfortunately whenever we've tried organising socials before they've never really taken off like socials down south do, not sure why (maybe it's us  )
But for those that are coming along, we look forward to meeting lots of new faces

Ooh had a few more messages since I last posted, so far there are 20 or so people confirmed for the 12th, and about 15 for the 19th. Seems to be a good mix of singles and couples.
Of course experience has taught us that who actually appears on the night is anyone's guess |

haha I think I've got a flasher mac somewhere in the cupboard
should say I've had a blonde moment, it's the Old School House on Little Belmont St (used to be Hogs head).
I can't wait, just hope people do come and I'm not sitting like a loner lol! X |

Had a family emergency and now have to drive down to Liverpool asap
I'm gutted, instead of getting ready to go out I'mpacking cases.

Hope all that went had a great time, really disappointed to of organised it and missed it
Our daughters are with my mum in Liverpool, the eldest ended up in a&e saturday night so we had a mad dash down to Liverpool to be with her (she's only 7!).
Swear these kids are conspiring to ruin my social/sex life lol xxx |
