Falkirk |
I've found loads but still looking for the ultimate spot.
Don't think I will ever find it though as Scotland just keeps taking my breath away with new things to see even in places I've already been |

Departure lounge of Edinburgh Airport, when I am off somewhere nice.
The view is pretty nice too, all those lovely airstewardesses wandering about in heels and their trolley dolly uniforms.............. sigh |

Our favourite places are so tied up with our emotions aren't they? St Andrews beach will always be a firm favourite because of all the happy memories of time spent there with my boys.
....and there's this little place in Aberdeenshire with lovely falls and fish leaping and a resident heron keeping a beady eye out for stragglers that is very special.... |

Spot on jinty, its the memories attached to a place that makes it special
As much as there are countless beautiful and picturesque places all round the country, whenever i have been away, passing the Baillieston interchange makes feel like im back home. |

"The Highlands and the Moray Firth area. Love my country! "
I'll second that emotion my dear. It's a wonderful land! *Breaks into "For These are My Mountains..." * |

Up over the old military road to Glenelg - looking back to the 5 sisters of kintail.
Across to skye on the plate ferry and down into Portree on the single track.
Once and only once, the Cullins were cloud free.. stunning. |

Ullapool - lovely memories and a frequently visited place.
Glenmore/Rothiemurchas/Loch Morlich
The Dubh Loch looking down over Loch Muick
Kishorn on the west coast, looking over towards Skye at sunset.
Pretty much most of Skye, Glen Affric, loads of the west coast. The road to Applecross.

Arisaig is beautiful, as is Glenfinnan. I can't remember the name of the place but on the road from glen dominant to Arisaig you come down a hill into a tiny wee village that has a bay with crystal clear water and and all these tiny little colourful fishing boats. Like something on a postcard. |

As has been said before, we love our beautiful country but have particular soft spots for the Queen's View on Loch Tummel, Kinloch Rannoch, lots of Perthshire - particularly in Autumn. Can't get enough of Skye and the west coast roads to get there and Argyllshire - stunning! S&Mx |

Talking about the Queen's View, there's an incredible panoramic vista in Aberdeenshire, on the Queen Victoria 'trail'! I can't remember which road it's on, possibly in Strathdon somewhere, but on a good day it's spectacular. |
