I still maintain to this day that Goldeneye 007 for the N64 is the greatest FPS game of all time.
I really have a soft spot for the old Sonic games, and love the GTA series, partial to the odd game of Fifa as well.
Just LOVE games in general tbh. haha |

The best game I've played this year is South Park: Stick of Truth. Yes really. Absolutely glorious.
I'm a PC gamer now but have played the others in the past. Still have a PS3 but I use it more as a Netflix machine nowadays. |

I'm a nintendo gamer originally...
snes games....have them all...
legend of zelda(ocraina being my fave)...still beats any RPG franchise
secret of mana,chronotrigger...are much better than the final fantasys in my opinion
Superbomberman 2...........fucking still amazing!- 4 players...or over the internet
I LOVE Soul Caliber 2(and sequels), loved Tekken 6..though I'm still a streetfighter2turbo fan
Mariokart 64 and the sequels(on various platforms), best driving arcade games ever...FACT!
Theres hardly anything I havent played, and I know my emulators...great to play on laptops or android hehe

yeah they stole the system from supermario RPG(and the following sequels on the DS)(which is probably 20 years old lol)..its actually quite sad that hardly any other turn based RPGs adopted the system.
its amazing how much people forget what nintendo actually have done for gaming..honestly, supermario64 is still considered as the 'perfect' game

A lot of Battlefield 3 - keep wondering whether to get BF4 but the reviews on line mostly seem to say it is not very good.
Also fondly remember Elite - seems very simple compared to today's games but for some reason was just as addictive.
Enjoyed Rome, have loaded up Rome2 but for reason can't really get on with it. |

I disagree, 8 fully functioning galaxies with economies, flight and space physics and all in less than 1Mb of coding. Now you're lucky if a game can fit in less than 10,000x the space and has vastly less systems etc. We demand graphics over substance these days. Elite and Frontier are still some of the most in depth and complex games around |

man there are too many to list properly. off the top of my head
elder scrolls (morrowind oblivion and skyrim)
fallout (3 and new Vegas)
batman arkham series
resident evil (all except operation raccoon city)
silent hill (all)
lego games
gta 4 and 5
metal gear series
bioshock
red dead redemption
mortal kombat
call of duty world at war black ops 1/2 and ghosts
and all final fantasies. though 13 annoys me cause I still haven't finished it.

I've got a PS4 just now and mainly stick to FIFA 14 but I've still got my N64, Sega-Megadrive and a couple of other old school ones that i fire up every now and then!
I did finish 7th in the uk on an official online fifa tournament last year, then again nobody gives a toss if you're not a winner.. |

Goldeneye on the N64 was certainly the best multiplayer game, the Wii version is good online. The Resident Evil series was awesome but the first one was still the best and really fucking scary, the giant tarantulas Argh, getting the heebies just thinking about it.
Bought the new Metal Gear game, it's a bit of a rip off since the storyline game can be completed in about 20 minutes. |

1080 snowboarding on the N64, no other snopboarding game has come close to how good it was(is) SSX tricky etc were all shit, 1080 looks brill when played on an emulator in high resolution...the special moves were stunningly hard to master too.
Tonyhwaks 2, I remember just playing one level all the time, trying to master the highest score
Burnouts(the only reasons I would have got a PS2)
BLACK..on xbox(not 360)..still a bloody brilliant shooter!
DOOM 64 (available on pc too)
Turok 2 (cerebral bore weapon was bloody brill)
Deer hunter (I prefer the older games to the newer ones), though dangerous hunts 2009 was good.
Heavy rain, it is still one of the most brill games on ps3 |

Oh aye, brilliant game. I played it a couple of different ways & got wildly different outcomes! One happy ending, one severely depressing, kinda in keeping with the rest of the game actually. |

For beat em ups....Street fighter 2 (snes), Final fight (snes), streets of rage (sega megadrive) and Virtua Fighter (PS3)
For driving games Mario Kart easily the best on Nintendos.
For shoot em ups, fps.... Halo series and Gears of war series on xbox 360.
For role playing games, Star Wars Knights of the old republic 1 and 2 on XBOX, mega addictive brilliant games, played it for a solid 12 hours straight in one session, could'nt put the controller down, lol. |

"Has anyone played Eve? Massive online space sim. I was tempted to give it a go but some reviews suggest it is very slow to build up any decent sort of ship or whatever you need."
A few of my City of Heroes friends played Eve and what you saw in reviews sounds exactly as they described it although all of them said it was worth the grind.
I tried WoW but I found the gameplay/gfx vastly inferior to City of Heroes and only played a few days then deleted as a result.
I ended up racking up tens of thousands of hours on CoH including a few special event weeks that I was hitting 15-20 hour sessions for a few days in a row (culminating in a course of physiotherapy at Ross Hall with a fucked neck and shoulder).
Thankfully I convinced the international company employing me then that it was poor ergonomics in the workplace that caused the problem so it was the company BUPA scheme that took the hit.
