I dont think winks are useless,if i like the look of someones profile il wink them,this to me gives them the oppertunity to give my profile the once over and decide if they wish to make contact and vice versa ,if they dont well no harm done xxx  |

We use winks a fair bit and get a decent response from them, always exciting to get a few winks now and again.
We don't always have the time to send a nice decent intro message so wink to let them know we like the profile. If anyone chooses to ignore it, thats up to them. |

I think the trouble with winks is folks use them for different reasons and their specific reason isn't known by the recipient, i never act on winks and much prefer a message but rarely initiate contact. |
