now i know this is showing my age but i remember these two show's on a sunday on channel 4 when i was a young nipper...i guess i was always fascinated with space and other alternate worlds and dimensions which is perhaps how i ended up in the realm of fabswingers lol

so who remembers these two shows and which was your favourite?

Hang on, were they made of tin foil ? Maybe thats why they got lost, it blocked the trackers ninj had inserted in their rectums

Was "Lost in Space" the one with the robot with the arms that went round and round and the creepy old guy...was it Zachary Smith that was always hanging around the wee boy and whinging? And the family were all dead glamorous and the non family guy was a bit of a hunk??? Never saw it.....

Lost in space! Quickly ripped by the muppets with their Pigs in space! Section on the muppet show. Dr Zachary Smith was a hero....oh the pain! Was his catchphrase as he grasped his lower back, after being asked to do any menial task. Even the robot did a fine line of sarcasm.

a robot which was clearly some guy in a robot suit made out of parts of an industrial Hoover machine lol I loved the wobbly arms lol minded me a bit of Mr blobby

Shit,I remember watching these programs 1st time round!!!!!Both great shows but definitely Lost in space for me!!!Robbie the robot goes back to the 50's where he first appeared in Forbidden Planet.A classic SiFi movie with Lesley Neilsen,Earl Holliman and Walter Pigeon. Awesome special effects too!!Well worth a watch.

Yea, I defo remember "land of the giants", but I'm assuming they were re-runs, 'cause you can tell by there clothes etc it was done in the 70's, I think. I'll check that out.

Best robot I think is from the 1927 silent film metropolis. Seen the film and although it was years ago it's still brilliantly done.
