Had a dude call me from Microsoft telling me my PC was virused and he could help blah blah blah
My Registry was corrupted and only he could fix it remotely
Scary thing was the guy was quite convincing.
When I explained I was a Senior Systems Analyst with a major software company and I was sure I was sufficiently enough qualified to tell if my PC was broke or not
Was watching quality porn at the time he phoned so he pissed me off big time |

Folks be careful with this - if anyone phones saying you have a virus or ask can they connect to your pc - don't let them, its fairly popular these days , they put key-logger software on your pc and such like and nasty things come of it - never fall for it.
Look at troyhunt dot com if you wanna read more on internet scammers - troy hunt is a security expert from Australia

Next time they phone tell them that your sorry but since your computer is lying on the floor in bits cause youre in the middle of repairing it if they would like to give you their name number and address you will post it to them so they can save you the hassle of putting it back together. |

Yes it's a scam and some of the cheeky cunts have the cheek to phone you back (several times) straight away after being told to fuck off.
I know someone who fell for it and payed them £170. lol
If they phone again just tell them that you have a Mac or no computer at all. |

Microsoft's official word on it is that Microsoft tech support will never call you for any reason so if anyone claims to be them then their a fake. I like to play with them and pretend do what they tell me or just go mental and shout down the phone. or the ever popular.. pretend that I am Microsoft tech support employee in Glasgow or a cop and that im tracing their call |

A friends father went through the whole routine on the phone with the guy and wasted almost an hour of his time before telling the caller he didn't have a computer. ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

An earlier poster was correct.... first they want control of your computer..... next they pop up a list of error messages that are genuine but every computer has them so nothing to worry about ,,,,, then they charge you masses of money to remove them ,,,,, then as the other poster stated you need to worry when they will have your bank account numbers etc and when they loot them !!!! a very common scam !!!!! |
