This Act is still in force and could well cause a problem for Charles when the queen dies. It not only ensures that the monarch must be prodestant but also stipulates that they cannot be a divorcee. Im not sure if it was this Act or another but there has also been a constituional change that means that it is now the first born who is next in line and not the first son. |
