"All about breath and emptying mind "

Some people here should have no problem with the latter!

I am 53 yrs old in a few weeks time.

I have been practicing Chinese Martial Arts since I was 6.

Tai Chi is one of 3 Internal Arts that rely on inner strength and power as opposed to quick, sharp strikes that you tend to see in every martial art movie the world over.

Tai Chi and it's Chi Gung component are used mainly for health purposes, ie stretching, breathing all good for us auld yins with brittle bones and joint injuries

However, if you find the right school with the a really good Teacher who is teaching both solo and hand to hand Tai Chi then you will find one if the most deadliest of all martial arts.

I myself have been practicing for many years and have fused it with an art called Chi Na that is called Taijiquina.

That added to 30 years Boxing training have got me by in life through military, body guarding and door stewarding since the late 70's

Find yourself a good school and don't be afraid, you will be the only guy there, it is open to all sexes and age groups.
