All the good money saving tips, especially the Paisley ones, are illegal.

save money on cutlery etc by liberating one item at a time from cafes/restaurants

Other than that sites like freecycle where people are giving away unwanted items

I visited a flat out near Bruno's chippy many years ago. The second floor landing was in darkness because the tenants had run a cable from the stair light socket to power their telly.

Caprona

Don't buy a futon

Thick curtains help

Keep a spare key with member of family, cheaper than locksmiths.

When I had my flat dinner was a tin of lidl macaroni cheese at 69p.....every bloody night! Can hardly think about the stuff now! Funniest moment was a guy in a cherry picker looking in my bedroom window at midnight one Sunday night....I was in an attic flat ....never thought to shut the curtains or reckoned on the Christmas lights being stretched from my windae over to the library! Or the bloody things flashing on and off for 4 weeks!! Saved on the leccy tho.......
