That's what's really gettin to me, what it hit off, iv dropped it off pavements, roads, wood, all kinds of surfaces, then yesterday I had new flooring laid in my office, 1st drop and boom!

I like the HTC Desire lol nice big screen for browsing. in my job I need a decent screen on my phone, spend a lot of time in the office doing nothing and the office comp is restricted access I.e no fab, no games ect..

Always liked the Samsung galaxy models, will need to shop about and see what's on offer now.

anyone able to recommend a decent handset?

I know it's not much but I've got the Sony Xperia sp cheap but stylish and a big screen but as a fan of Sony again if a more reliable phone maybe the New Samsung galaxy 4 or Sony Xperia z1. Both big screen phones large capacity of up to 32 Gb of memory

HTC One range, Galaxy S3/S4 (or soon S5), the Sony Z1 all pretty good.

Not used the HTC One any more than a play in the shop, but they've had good reviews and seem well built.

Fundamentally, they're all Android, so aren't too different, though some of the skins are a pain, I switched my S3 from the Samsung build to the Cyanogenmod build which is much faster and is a 'pure' android build.

Go for the HTC one, great phone! Wasn't a fan at first but once you get going with it it's good

If I had to get another phone it would have to be the Xperia! Water resistant too! Perfect for working outdoors!

I have an HTC One,had it about 2 months and it's starting to play up abit. Thinking of getting rid of it and going back to Sony. The HTC looks good but I think there is some issues with the software, keyboard disappearing halfway through a text or email, not coming back to home screen when pushing the homebutton. Sadly disappointed

Got an HTC One on o2 and I have to say it's never given me so much as an ounce of trouble. It gets dropped all the time and gets handled pretty roughly and still has never let me down and I've had mine for over 6 months now. My only gripe is that the battery life is pretty crap. Especially if you're using shag nav on it. But on the other hand, I'm forever talking texting and perving Fabs on it, so no wonder the battery never lasts lol ??

Currently have a Sony P but not over-impressed, so will probably go back to HTC later this year.

Was put off Samsung due to a friend's experience with an S4, but having recently got a Samsung Tab3 tablet and very impressed with it, I'll have a look at Samsung too.

" Insurance was cancelled many months ago aswell.... "

If the insurance you're referring to was specific mobile phone, check your house contents insurance.
