being verified quickly

i have noticed recently that a lot off newbies are getting verified very quickly either by someone who they know from the site or directed them towards the site plus people who have left the site and now return asking for the people who they knew before leaving the site to verifiy them , to me this is all wrong and there should be a length off time before someone can verifiy someone else what do others think on .

Well verifications aren't merit badges.

They are to help prove that someone is real.

So im all for it the way it is currently.

I'm always happy to re verify someone I've met who has come back, can't see the problem

And what if someone who just joined had a meet straight away? Why would they have to wait?

Some people might have left the site and came back requesting back some veris/ people they have previously met which is within their right

Or some folks have fake profiles getting verified from another computer / profile

Because as I stated in my second part of my post, profiles with unwritten information about the person likes or dislikes and looks like a quick jon profile with no photos everyone should be suspicious especially within. 3 days this is my own personal opinion of course others may see different

That's your opinion on fake profiles which you are entitled to have but we are more concerned about the profiles that have been here for over a year and have no intention of meeting anyone.

With reference to the above...and only commenting as Newb here...it seems that many new girls get hundreds of emails in a few hours ? Not sure how they can be expected to answer all of them...especially after a week of that ?

A verification is simply to verify you are who/what you say you are...

So if someone rejoins, why shouldnt a previous meet verify them to say so?

Ok let's be honest here are pro and cons to the systems been put in place one pro is you can get verified to let others know you are genuine and reap and can also have a telling way of a insight of that person, the only con about it is people can manage their own verifications so for all we know it could be a bad one and not on show for people to see ( I mean come on who's going to show a bad verification of themselves) it's the internet it's not always ligit

We have verified newbies who haven,t been on long and have no problem with it we do have a problem however with as an example a couples profile we had seen two years ago which was finally verified this week by a couple but and this is the bit we don,t like they said in the veri that they had met only the male half of the so called couple We don,t think that should be allowed

And the problem with this is what exactly? I had a previous meet veri me within a day or two as I was inundated with messages and using filters helped cut that down.

I get more p'd off with years old profiles with no pics, veris and info!

I think that would be a very useful veri but I'm surprised they put it on display.

I think it's hard whichever way you look at it. I think the system is ok but I always like to get to know someone before I meet and not just go by veris

ditto we have found some veri,s very misleading when actually meeting folk so prefer to chat and usually social meet first to see how we all get on

Verifications or not, when you speak to someone & you get on & have a connection then you go with your gut feeling if your going to meet or not! Personally I wouldn't meet with someone who has very little information/pictures on profile & not very forthcoming with initial chat.

They do help in ways, if the verifications are shown it gives you a little insight to the person/people you are going to meet - really just confirms they are genuine people. But as previously said no one is ever going to show a negative verification etc, so do they really matter at the end of the day!? They are never going to give a full picture - only part.

Go with gut feeling on meets & not everyone is going to like or want to meet everyone else from the site - we all have our own preferences/likes/dislikes etc x

Why would you want to further disadvantage a newbie by restricting them from having a quick verification! Everyone of as has started as a newbie!

there are plenty of fakes who are not newbies.

Veris are meant to show if someone is genuine or not. Its not always the case but in most cases veris are genuine from genuine meets. It doesn't matter if the meet was from a previous profile cause it still serves the same purpose i.e. That the person who verified has met them and confirm they are genuine.

You can easily spot a fake verification. Just check the person who verified them and you can go check who's verified them as well further back in the line. You might even come across with someone you have met yourself.

If you feel something is suspecious with their profile then its simple. Just avoid and put your effort on people you think are genuine and interesting. I like the system as it is. Not perfect and could be ameliorated but not by further putting restrictions on newbies.

You don't see the problem cause you are not a newbie anymore. I don't see who will gain anything from your idea either. It's not fair and very short sighted... and yes it's selfish.

same with any system it has pros and cons yes there is ways you could upgrade the system in place but that usually just brings more problems for my money you want to get so hung up on veris get rid of webcam veris they mean nothing more than there was a male/female/both on a camera for added harshness every veri recieved is displayed you leave site its a three strike system you are caught on again you get banned for life ant proof that your profiles full of lies banned sounds simple but reality is there would be more problems trying to implement those simple rules than what there are now
