What's in a wink?

Ok is it just me, but if you wink at some one on here, then does that not imply a note of interest? So if you send a nice email to the persons thanking them for said wink, it is then deleted with no correspondence back?

There appears to be a lot of multiple profiles appearing on Fab that are basically the same person masquerading as cpls . Anyhoo rant over happy swinging

I'm with you m8. If people used winks more it would be a lot simpler. Wink, wink returned, email.....etc.

Saves wasting your time and is not lazy just saves feckin about wasting my prose on folk who are busy exploring lesser opportunities......

Meeiow.....saucer o milk

I send a wink as I'm quite shy honestly. I'm rubbish at introducing myself and if I get one back then I'll message just saying hi if you want to chat that's great if not that's fine xx

I've never seen the harm in winking, but most women rate it as guys being lazy, but that's women for you!

Winks don't bother me in the slightest, I have to admit I don't often check them but I've been known to send one if someone catches my eye

Yup! Me too! Saves time drafting messages only for them to be deleted without being read!

Don't mind winks, no harm in them. If we see a wink and like, we usually send a message

I (D) send winks most of the time, again just shy. Not lazy and no insult intended just some people are much better at starting online conversations.

I like winks, im rubbish at the initial message, never know what to put, so a wink works for me, and people either like what they see and wink back or message or dont! Its up to them!!

It seems a lot of winkers just ain't great at the opening message or too used to taking the time to write a thought out message that shows you've read the profile and point out shared interests just for it to be deleted-I'm a bit of both depending on the info in the profile.

I say in my profile if you wink back to mine then I'll send a message and if i wink back to yours then you should send me a message-the people i don't get are those who wink and then ignore your message, what's the point of even winking in the first place!

I like to use a wink as a sign of interest, if that wink is returned then I'll message the woman or couple. What I don't understand is when I wink an they wink back but then dont respond to my message!

That's exactly my thoughts, if I return a wink with a message that basically says hi, then it gets deleted? Just don't get it, fair enough if you're shy but a if the other party makes the effort to start a convo in reply to the wink, it's only fair to respond back even if it's only to say no. Oh well away for a wink lol

Must admit, it's a massive pet hate of mine when you take a bit of time to put a message together, complying totally with what's been asked of you..... Only for it to be deleted without reply.

'Title your message 'potato' to show you've read my profile' - check

Respect my age range - check

Include a face pic - check

No cock pics - check

No generic copy / paste messages - check

No requests for meets in first message - check

You go through all these wee checks, then get slapped with a 'Deleted'. Can defo see why folk decide to go for the 'lazy' option.
