I've had to cancel meets as work plans have changed and stuff, but at least always with notice, and re-scheduling.
Had a few in the past that have gone radio silent after agreeing a date and time, but I usually confirm the day before, and if I don't get an answer by the next morning, I consider the meet cancelled. |

"Wish there was a way to mark when people don't turn up as it would make it better for others to take heed."
There is. Go into their profile, hit report and the reason why (give as much detail as possible).
Naming and shaming publicly will not and should not ever happen as it is far too open to abuse. |

A cancellation with notice is fine and deserves a 2nd chance/rearrangement, but getting ready and still getting messages, only for the person not to even have the courtesy to make the feeblest of excuses, is beyond redemption and deserves a block only.
Plus word of mouth is a wonderful thing.... (evil grin) x |

"Am I the only female that gets stood up on this bloody site,
It used to be if u made arrangements they turned up,or am I doing something wrong " Did you meet socially first ?
I know not everyone does but I think it's a good way to establish if there is a sexual connection to take things further.
If it's a case of just hoping for the best and hoping some random guy who you've never met before turns up then I guess that's the risk you take I'm afraid X |

I know you were directing your question to Gail Jacs, but mine was a social meet. Thankfully I didn't have to travel far (5min hobble), but it's all the getting ready beforehand as well and then they don't show.
The annoying thing for me was that I had turned down 2 other meets. He effectively ruined my day and someone else's as I am not the type to look for a substitute (was too feckin pee'd off by then).
**Re substitute - wouldn't like someone to turn me down for a meet and then come online cos theirs hadn't met and THEN ask me.. would make me feel like 2nd best. |

Yeah I know Wendy no situation in being stood up is nice.
I guess the point I'm making is if you social meet first then you get to know that person hopefully enough to trust them.
If meets are just being arranged with people you've never met then your opening yourself up to someone who you've never set eyes on in the flesh yet giving them your home address ...I just think it's a bit risky to be honest as we all know there are some very malicious people on this site xx |

Oh I know Jacs, but very frustrating when they are a no show for the social meet... just means they will never get to know just how fan-fookin-tastic and flexibble I can be at home lol |

I really cannot for the life of me understand why folk can stand people up.
I get meets, but by fook I work hard at it and I dont see why anyone is daft enough to throw away the effort they put in..
Maybe some just like to secure the meet and thats all the buzz they need.
