The malt Shovel on cockburn st bootom end is good for a few quiet one's

Go to the grassmarket,or a few just off george street,but not keen on rose street pubs! Not a great atmosphere!!

Beehive Inn and the White Hart (sic) in the Grassmarket were always good watering holes....

Back in the day the Tower Bar would have been a candidate (but that was in Leith).

Jock's Lodge Bar had its moments.
