I went into the Scotland chat room and said hello and to my dismay I only got 3 replies to about 20 users in there. Is the Scotland or any rooms clicke ? |

Sometimes to room is so fast and busy that most who are already chatting do not see posts,with all the color too most are looking out for who they are chatting too (red text etc)
I have always found the Scottish chat room to be really friendly and funny too,do not let that put you off. |

If you walked into a pub and shouted hello would you expect every person to say hello back?
Room users create friendships and sometimes can be caught up in convos with each other that they don't notice someone coming in and just saying hi!
Why not try to join in a convo? |

If you walked into a pub and shouted hello would you expect every person to say hello back?

sometimes, others don't notice your arrival in chat, however- some you might go in- target you straight away for abuse, or trying to belittle other folks, there's been a definite fall-off of members in scotland chat, my guess is the little cliques have all ganged together to exclude those not in the "in" crowd, and it's not just me saying that other folks have noticed it too- hence the seemingly mass exodus of folks from scotland chat- |

I find the Scottish and Northern rooms the most friendly, like others have said if people are chatting in a fast moving room they just don't notice other messages  |

You are doing well with three replies. I'm lucky if i get that and i've been on there chatting to a few people for a while. |

We like the chat room and get a few hellos but you have to participate in the chat that is going on thats what we do. Just chip in and have a laugh and as for cliques we are not interested in any of them. We will chat to who we want to end of. Mrs K x |

We haven't been on chat for ages. Tbh it's hard enough to keep up with the quick pace of writing on there sometimes.
But when we do go on we have fun. Isn't that what it's all about?  |

Chat isnt the same as the old room. For the old and bold who has been on here im sure some will agree that there are that small minority who come on and ruin it for others. Either that or someones said i have short arms and deep pockets |

If your in the room, sometimes out of 20 only 6 are chatting, the rest just sit and watch and if there is a lot more than 20 peeps chatting the room moves fast and they might not see it.
Always a big part don't chat in the room. Don't know what they're doing, maybe watching cams, in a private pm, doing the washing, I don't know.
I don't think they're cliquish just some know each other and chat together.
just watch the chat and sometimes join in if the conversation is interesting or it strikes a cord and I'm sure you will all be chatting in no time.
In saying that, no one ever talks to me, I just keep my mouth shut and watch   |

Guess in all that time you never tried "PM" !!!!!!!
chat is good, some real nice people, easier to go there and pm but then again just as easy to pick up phone, or indeed meet
Then of course you can also communicate here and wait days on a reply
