UVE ARRANGED TO MEET UR WAITING AT THE ARRANGED VENUE ~MEETING AT SAY 1PM NO SHOW BY 1.30PM SO HOW LONG DO U RECKON IS A REASONABLE TIME TO WAIT FOR UR MEET TO MAKE AN APPREANCE ?

Difficult, this one. Guess it depends on how the other person is getting there. A missed train might be factored in, or traffic, but I reckon 45 mins is prob the most I'd wait. Mind you, might be better if they didn't turn up at all because I'd be raging by that time lol |

When will people stop doing this? Ok, so catastrophies happen and can mess up the best laid plans but it is SO annoying and such a waste of ur time. Where do good manners go to? Sorry it's happened to you. |

30mins max is long enough
if they haven't phone me 2 let me no they be late then i say its a no show
I would text them (around 20mins after the agree time)
2 find out if they are coming if no answer withing th 10 mins then i shall up an leave
I have been lucky enough 2 meet a few nice people on here an always had shown on the agree time |

We always send people a text or call them direct to let them know we are on our way - you never know their last minute nerves may have got the better of them. No reply and we delay leaving until we hear from them !
On two occasions we have been over an hour late, M4 nightmare on the first and would you believe the bloody ferry broke down on the second occasion lol.
Luckily we were able to walk under the river through a bloody long tunnel which had a smell recognised the world over !!!
We kept these people well informed, they were both very understanding and waited for our arrival, which was very nice of them.
They have both become great friends who we still chat with and see regularly. Sometimes a little patience goes a long way, but if there had been no contact we would give them an hour tops and then be on our way !

just thinking, is it possible to have some sort of private naming and shaming where, if this happens, the person let down posts and we contact them privately to see who let them down? Personally only interested in who would chicken out of a full meet, rather than coffee/drink one. Could be open to abuse so guess would have to be on own judgement but might make worst offenders think twice. What do others think? |

id wait an hour max , depends if they sent me some kind of message to say they were running late i wouldnt be annoyed with them as these things ahppen as mentioned depends how they getting there etc etc , hmm naming and shaming yeah possibly but id only put ppl i know have been messing about i.e they arrange a meet knowing full well they aint going to make it , and do it on a reg basis . |

sailor in a way i onlt got my self to blame as i asked for his mobile no and he didnt give it to me but did ask for mine should have know by that somthing wasnt right no call to cancel no replys to my emails here or on msn so what does that tell u ?
little worried he's now got my mobile no tho..... but these r the risks u take eh lol

Jacs im sorry to hear that sum1 has been foolish enough to let you down .. their loss babes as u are a fabby person. If it was me id give half an hour but i always get a number from them.. in all fairness its normally me thats running late but always down to either traffic or my work but i always tx or call the person to say im running late and ruffly how long i will be .. i dont like to let ppl down. we got stood up wayyy at the begining and we waited an hour no call nothing then 4hrs!! later they came up with some bull their car got nicked??
funny thing was next day they got verified on the site for a meet that night? mmm not clever then to make matters worse they keep pesterin us for another meet?..sorry guys only do that to us once. |

i think for us half hr is plenty, and if the make a bull shit excuse, they aint worth it anyway,
and jac's there mugs for not showin up. nxt time give us a shout and will fill in for them.

with todays technology surely its not to difficult to call or text or e-mail if a contact is late or just not turning up yes folks even I can be nice lol as for length of wait that would be entirley up to the person waiting be it male or female shit does happen at the last minit normally to me lol keep your chin up jacs xxxxxxxxx |

i'd prob wait say.....30 secs, i like punctuality in a person lol.....when we arranged our very first meet spoke to cpl on the fone (well the bloke from the cpl) at 6ish....were meeting them at 8.30......9.30 txt to say his mrs had come down suddently with the flu!!!!! lmao guess what he could still come and was sitting outside in his car...funny that eh |

honest she did have the flu .... then i took the stopper out , let out the air , folded her up , and popped her back in her 'blow up doll 'box.... oops also gave her a wipe wi damp flannel .... cool her doon from her high temp lol

Because of the job I do I often get held up so my timekeeping is awful! But I ALWAYS text or ring the person to say I'm running late. I wouldn't wait any longer than about 15 minutes personally and definitely wouldn't arrange to meet without having their number first.

After that..no danger!
