"Breaking news on sky news at the moment seems a band was playing at the venue "

Clutha has live music most nights, so more than likely.

busy venue at weekends.

Itv seems to think it was a controlled landing by the crew due to mechanical failure

Unconfirmed though

Absolutely shocking - of all the places to come down, a busy pub on a Friday!

Everything crossed for a miracle and everyone somehow gets out.

"Itv seems to think it was a controlled landing by the crew due to mechanical failure

by the look of the pics it doesnt look like it went in particularly hard so may have been trying to land on the only flat space available which may have been the pub roof, and looks like the roof gave way

"Its scary to think that could happen."

It's happened before, back in the early 90s. A police helicopter crashed into flats on the south side of Glasgow in bad weather.

I watched the interview with Jim Murphy MP, fantastic interview, very emontional but the total and utter pratts (for lack of stronger words) in the background, laughing and waving to their mates as they held their phones to their heads was disgusting.

The way that people helped showed Glasgow in a great way but these pratts spoiled it with their actions.

As for the people making jokes of it on here, you should also be ashamed of yourselfs.

To all the members of the general public that were there and helped throughout the night I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You were a true credit to what Glasgow is all about, your actions did save lives and you all should be honoured for your selfless courageous actions.

Whatever God you follow may he bless you as you deserve it.

I was truely humbled by your bravery

To be honest I think the sentiments behind this post are coming though, but as I believe only one person has actually been officialy been named I don't think it appropriate at this stage to make any comments on fatalaties until there has been official confirmation of whos actually died in this incident .

People are just expressing their feelings towards people that they know for a fact that were involved in the tragedy?

An incident is some muppet saying that they have a firearm in a public place when they have a BB gun and a bottle of buckie for backup???

They are just a waste of public money and resources, this tragedy will live with many people for a very long time and it will take a very long time indeed for them to get over it.

Glasgow i salute you and your bravery and humanity from what i witnessed last night will live with me for the rest of my life

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

Now the facts about who has been involved in the tragedy have been made clear I dont think it helps to speculate any further, so Ive deleted posts.

As it said on one of the posts that I had to remove its probably better to let this thread focus on those people that did lose their lives.

I hope people agree that that is the best thing to do under the circumstances.
