might be worth contacting someone from his regiment or speaking to someone who has served a tour there and asking what things are in demand for the troops over there.

hope you see him home soon.

"Porn and hand grenade's"

Depending on where he is, porn (and alcohol) can cause problems.

The content's not that critical. Much of it gets swapped or given away.

This is one of those occasions where it really is the thought that counts.

My son served in Afgan and we was told no chocolate as it melted before they got it. He loved the jelly sweets and sachets of flavoured tuna type fish was good with oat cakes or other savoury biscuits. Oh and squash as they had to drink lots and the water got so hot when out on patrol but hot squash wasn't so bad.

But as already said he just loved getting messages and photo's of home

bfpo has a weight limit of 2kgs, liquid is frowned apon for spillage/spoiling other parcels. Due to mostly all stuff flown in, the RAF do strive to send everything.

Someone important stressed, that only family should post. Ensuring no parcels arriving late due to well meaning public gifts, gettung there first.

EFI is expensive so toiletries are a good choice, swedgers biscuits usual nibbles.

hope thishelps

unfortunatly you used to fly with care packages and they were treated with more respct care and attention than the passengers lol to be fair if packed well dosnt matter if melts a little usually off herc and units quartermasyers are there to pick it up then mail call on return and into tent may be hot but shaded areas stop melting to bad

If hes there now, you can send chocolate. Its getting cold there now. Jan and feb will be freezing depending where he is. I loved receiving chocolate. A few magazines, haribo, shower gel and tooth paste and some letters from people. Although i'm sure he'll be able to get on FB.

Which, as we know, is Latin for 'work your bollox off and you'll get a small Vauxhall'.
