yep peep CHRISTMAS LOL!!!
I loved arranging the christmas social and im sure from the responce it was very popular amongst the users on here so have decided to arrange this yrs one too along with the help of serengeti.
Have decided to do a SPARKLING CHRISTMAS BALL this time hence why im doing the post now to give everyone time to get organised......women in ~Ball Gowns men~in either suits ,kilts or tuxedos lol
The date we r looking to go with is sat 11th dec 2010 provided venue can take us
this post is only to c what intrest there is once we know there is an intrest i will do another post asking for ppl to add their names if they wanna come along .
this will purly be a social no fund raising will be done on the nite xxxxx

Never being one to shy away from the controversial but isn't this a bit unfair? Personally I don't know my plans for tomorrow let alone December, however, what about potential new members that may join the site say in October - they would be excluded from this social because they didn't put their names on a list in March. I DO realise that venues become booked early especially for Christmas, but I think this is taking it too far ! |

The reason behind letting people know bout the social so early is to let everyone prepare for it for a change and maybe because its so close to Christmas save up some money instead of the usual scrimping and scraping we all do at that time of year. I myself dont have a "ball gown" as such so will give others like myself plenty of time to go out and buy one with no added expense. Also theres the fact that alot of you love make a weekend of it in a hotel so will give time to book and pay for that as well. As for newbies, its common knowledge that alot of newbies for some reason or the other dont bother turning up or backing out and dont let you know bout it so's can give place/s to someone else. We're not gonna please everyone all of the time but we're trying our hardest to please some people. |

i think its a good idea.
with money bein tight everywhere the now if someone put say 3 quid a wk past from now to then thats £111 .
so those that need hotels etc the worry not there.
as for newbies i imagine there will be a reserve list thingy so the opportunity might be there.xx |

was done so earlie to help ppl with the cost ...
yeah ur right hun as usualy the last week leading up to the social thats when most drop out so always time for ppl on the reserve list too |

I feel I have to agree with Roxy on this one.
its a good idea to plan ahead of that there is no doubt. I can also see the need for saving up for such an event, that could be very costly.
All that being said, my own opinion is that every site and every event needs fresh blood or you would be as well just having a private party!
I sincerely hope that the list for tickets will not officially open till later in the year to give the maximum opportunity for everyone..new and established members alike.

earlier the better i think . so many partys and socials its good to know well in advance whats happening. new blood is coming in and leaving all the time , they will all have a chance to attend socials at some point.
again i think that its unfair that anyone who posts a social or event is targeted for not pleasing all the people all of the time ( lol u just cant win jacs hun ) |

First i would like to say yes everyone to their own with their Freedom of Speech.
Secondly we all did it asking for tickets when we shouldn’t have and that was stated by cumplaywithme when she posted the Event.

All im saying is maybe the reason for this post to be posted this far in advanced was because jacs was told last time she tried to arrange a ballgown night people was telling her they needed much more notice for saving as it was going to be too costly for all concerned and i think her post went up in maybe august and people said that was too late to save.
The valentine’s doo was posted last July which is Eight months further on.
So come on where do we draw the line jacs tries her best to keep everyone happy she has now given ppl all the time they need but she still cant win on this occasion.
We are lucky that ppl take the time to arrange these evenings but can see it will all stop soon.

i think this is a good post, yes its far too early for Jacs to take bookings for tickets and for people to ask for them, but they keep asking lol, BUT this is also a effin good post as we know there is already Two willing Fabswingers who want to arrange a christmas social! Folks come on, it is a post stating future plans, nothing more
this in turn will stop 4 or 5 people planning ones etc.
so Jacs....two tickets here psml, only kidding. we will keep our wee eyes on the forum for when the actual Social posts come up. cmon people, stop bickering, its nearly easter...the time of chocolate...we should all be happy |

we also jumped in asking 4 2 tickets lol but i honestly dont think its 2 early ,not everyone has the cash so near to xmas ,so this gives all time to ...save up..plan hotels..and more importantly book babysitters (golddust at time of year)so well done jacs for trying to sort everyone out in plenty time xxxx |
