Originally from Edinburgh but moved down South 20 years ago.
We always get back up pre Xmas to enjoy the Yuletide festivities, but tend to head back home for New Year.
Thought this year, instead of watching the Hogmany celebrations on TV, and getting all misty eyed,, we would stay and indulge ourselves.
The prospect of standing in the freezing cold, supping a can of Tennants, doesn't however appeal. Neither does attending the local "fun club".
Does anyone have any ideas where best to enjoy Hogmany that involves warmth, good hospitality and a bit of sophistication?
