"Go to docs and get antibiotics
If all else fails I may have too
Antibiotics are for bacteria. Coughs are virus infections."
Antibiotics are wide reaching and do work on coughs especially if infection moves into your chest |

Mmmmm big chest.. lol
Coughs can be infections, and of they last a while are more often that than a virus although that may have been the initial irritation. |

Quoted from my herbal remedies book.
Coughs
Choose your medicine according to the of cough.
For a dry , irritating cough use soothing remedies such as onion syrup or barley water. For a loose, Christy cough, or if the phlegm is stuck, use thyme tea with honey and lemon, or thyme syrup. Thyme is also good for a tight chest and wheeziness.
Examine the phlegm coughed up. If it is white or grey, these methods should be sufficient. Pale yellow indicates infection; use garlic and garlic oil or thyme oil chest rubs. Seek professional help for persistent dark yellow or green phlegm or for persisant dry coughs.
Some people are very prone to coughs. Colds always ' straight to the chest'. In these cases strengthen the lungs with sage or thyme tea, taken 2 or 3 cups a day for three months.
Hope this helps you. |
