Glasgow West

I have a beautiful blonde in my life, who means so much to me. She also means a lot to her mummy, gran, and big brother.

Since the summer, she has had to have casts below the knee on both legs, to help correct a problem with her ankles. If this didn't work, she was facing corrective surgery, before the age of two.

She had her casts removed this morning at Yorkhill, and so far, all seems to be well.

At one point, she stood up unaided, holding on to the table, and when I put my arms out, she took two steps towards me, straight into my hands. (She hadn't walked before the casts went on).

To say there were tears of joy from us all would be an understatement! We are so pleased and proud of our girl, and of the wonderful care she has had from the staff at Yorkhill. They have done so much for her, and her mum, and are a fantastically dedicated bunch of people.

Both Sainsburys & Aldi are having in-store fund raising for the hospital at the moment, so if you are shopping there in the Glasgow area, please chuck a copper or two in the bucket, to help continue all the work that goes on that can't be funded by the NHS, for my girl, and for all the other kids that have to use the hospital.

Thank you.

It is the perfect Christmas come early, though if she continues to surprise us like this, I think she might be climbing the tree before Santa gets here!

I know I have to keep saying thanks, but I mean it every time!

Now, does any of you dungeon masters/mistresses have a ball and chain to fit a 21 month old?
