Just wondering any one know the procedures of parking fine just got one from local authority in the post for sixty pounds but it was for being parked in a car park out didn't have a parking ticket on my car just wondering if this is right as I thought the usually issue your ticket in a pouch on your car any info be much appreciated. |

Depends which way they work. If you have a ticket from the car park you would be able to produce it and show that you did indeed pay to park. If not, then it looks like you will have to take the hit/ |

" nowadays they have mobile cameras attached to themselves to prevent abuse and they also take digital stills of the offending vehicle therefor gathering all the evidence they require.In otherwords,just another local authority stealth tax.

Never pay them. If its a firm that uses cameras n send you the pic of car reg n offer you cheaper payment if within 14days.....then bin it. Google the car park operator's name....be amazed at what you find. |

" The OP has stated its a local authority fine so either he didn't pay parking meter charge or hasn't displayed ticket,this onus is on the driver to do so and I can assure that if the driver has failed in any of these conditions then he has no other option than to pay the fine.

Right thanks for the comments much appreciated , as for the car park there was no signaged up the section i was parked at was not signed either nor were there any markings on the road the ticket came from local council but were I am puzzled is do they not usually issue the ticket on to the vehicle. |
