There was a movie called Flashpoint back in the 80's with Kris Kristoferson & Treat Williams, with a great Tangerine Dream soundtrack too. It centred around the two heroes finding a skeleton with a sniper rifle in a Texas desert, and hints that the dead man was the real JFK assassin.
